Budgie Blues

One of my pet budgies named Dabru-baby (light ink-blue) had given birth to her own little cutie-pie, a small green budgie recently. As the month passed by, this little one was just learning to fly. I generally clean up the nesting pots every few days. Today morning I thought I should do it again.

And yes, since a few days I was actually thinking of making a video using this little one to send to Gmail: A Behind the Scenes Video.

So, I removed the pot from the cage, and lo! I found that another yellow female had hatched 2 more little babie-budgies! I was overjoyed to see the little guests... Of course, my youngest brother (age: 10) was also overwhelmed. He generally likes to hold the budgies, and mind you, he does it very well. Never has any budgie ever flown away from his hands. He took the green-baby inside the room while I was doing all the cleaning. The smaller 2 were just crawling hopelessly on a cushion.

I warned my brother Arafat, that the budgie has already started leaning to fly. "So, be careful with it." Barely had a minute passed, and my brother yelled,
"Aapa, dekho chale gaya woh!" [Sister, look that one's gone!]

I was utterly shocked! In the panic that followed, my brother ran downstairs to try and find the bird. And what with the heavy rains and my mom shouting what we were up to! Time ticked by and I knew we had lost the bird...

Later even I went downstairs to help my brother, but in vain. We came back home, torn down. We were missing our friend. Also panic filled me... Where would the poor baby have gone in this rain? What would it get to eat? What if the crows (the evil, nasty creatures, devils) spotted it? Arafat was devastated. Till evening he kept telling me he was feeling guilty. I felt sad for him too.

But the damage was done. We will miss the baby indefinitely.

English Speaking

Today, once and for all, I think I hate people who cannot speak proper English and pretend to, just for the heck of it. People who do not wish to learn, but just keep on thinking that they can impress others with that lame English of theirs!

P.S. Today I made a friendship band :) using 4 colour threads... Turned out too good. I think I know who gets to wear that ;) !!!

Collecting Information

Today I did the usual tp stuff... Orkutting and all...

I also got some good information from the 'Infosys 2007' community @ Orkut. It's a really nice thread; help for ppl about to join infy soon.

Prepared a list of essentials for carrying there for training period. ;) But all that actually doesn't make much sense till I get the DOJ.

Anyways, all in all, it was just another day!

Sunday Morning

Hey... Good Morning to you.

This is yet another Sunday morning. Waiting to see how the day is gonna pass by. Actually I'm waiting for tomorrow.

Anticipating for the call letter (DOJ and location) from Infosys. I'm waiting since mid-may. Gosh! Such a long time ya... Each day me and my colleages just log in to our email accounts, hoping to see that email in our inboxes.. and then turn up online to chat and:

"Mila?"
"Nahin..."
"Awwww"
":("
"Kya Yaar... Aur kitna wait karein..."

That has been the same dialogue me and my colleagues share daily since then. And the Monday tomorrow is crucial according to 1 orkut thread.

So, I hope tomorrow is 'that-lucky-Monday'.
